Dear Patients,

I am sad to report that as of January 31st, 2022, I will no longer be able to serve as your gynecologist. After working over 25 years with OBGYN Associates of NW AL, I will be retiring. This decision to discontinue my practice with short notice was brought on by health issues. Please know that I am doing well but this has accelerated my decision.

There are six providers still with the practice, a combination of physicians and nurse practitioners. I have the utmost confidence in each one of them to provide you with excellent care.

Your records are electronic and will remain with the practice. Your records will be made available to whomever you chose to see going forward. I wish I could speak to each of you in person in this transition but sadly that is not possible. Please know how much I appreciate your trust over the years, and I wish you health and happiness in the future.

Kay Williams Kirchler, MDDr. Kirchler has been practicing gynecology since 1984. She has been with our practice since 1993.

After receiving her MD from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 1980, she completed her internship at Charlotte Memorial Hospital in 1981. Dr. Kirchler also completed her residency in 1984 at Charlotte Memorial Hospital located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Dr. Kirchler's professional organizations include Lauderdale County Medical Society and Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
