Paul Nieves DO, ACOOG, CCD, NCMP
Dr. Paul Nieves was born in Clovis, New Mexico and is a graduate of Abilene Christian University. He obtained his medical degree at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery. He completed his medical Internship at St. Michael Hospital in Oklahoma City. His residency was thru Michigan State University affiliated Hospitals & Clinics Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Nieves has been practicing since 2000, the last 15 years he has been a clinical professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Des Moines University and Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was awarded the 2014-2015 Clinical Faculty Award For Excellence in Teaching and has special interests in refining methods reducing obstetrical morbidity and promotes new advances in contraceptive management.
Dr. Nieves is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ACOOG), Clinical Densitometry (CCD), and Menopausal Medicine (NCMP). He also serves as a military physician in the United States Army, Reserve.
Dr. Nieves has been married to his wife (Debbie) for 31 years, they have two children. His hobbies include sports, scuba diving, and military history and family road trips.
